Life sure is happening here. I was hoping for a slow down after the holidays but apparently life hasn't gotten the message. Lily my feisty little one just got better, now big sister Evelyn is sick. Lily will be 3 next week and Evey is 7. This last stretch at work was very draining, I worked 4 in a row (12 hour shifts). Night 3 was just plain awful. I was in charge on our 24 bed unit and we had 3 codes simultaneously running. Hands down the busiest night of my nursing career. It was emotionally draining to say the least.
I'm a single mom and while I have no problem doing it on my own, I miss my boyfriend Mark. He's currently deployed in Afghanistan and I'm counting down the months till he's home. Military life is very new to me, there are so many damn rules. I'm just glad we can FaceTime and that his deployment is only 6 months. We've tried to stay busy and love sending him care packages. Can't wait for him to be home.
I'm excited to get back into blogging, it's great therapy for me. I have so much more I want to write about but I really should get some sleep. Sick kid = little sleep. Till next time.
